RISS Highlights

News and Events

We empower students so that they hone their public speaking skills and can improve where needed: from building confidence in speaking in front of a large group to making sophisticated and nuanced arguments, we have the trainings required to make every student the best public speaker they can be!

We are happy to announce that RISS will be participating in the annual collection campaign to collect and recycle small appliances by Wecycle. The collection campaign will run from September 18 through the 15th of November, 2018.

"An interdisciplinary project on the aftermath of World War I, involving five IB World Schools, has been a model of international mindedness and collaboration. Organizing a single project within one school can be difficult enough, but five IB World Schools in different European countries have cooperated successfully on a three-year, six-module project, involving more than 125 students."

Get to know our community

Ms. Angelin Teixeira
Teacher

I ask myself the questions: What can I do better to make physics more understandable, what can I do for the students to get the best out of them and surprise them with their own knowledge and capabilities?

RISS is a small but fast growing school with small classes and a tight knit community within a dynamic international city.

My best experiences at the RISS so far were with students, being a witness of how much they can learn and improve with a little bit of help, which makes this job a very gratifying one.

My biggest motivation comes from my students who make working at RISS so much fun. Our priority is to enable our students to recognise and develop their strengths and help them to become independent learners.

The IBDP is a challenging program, but with excellent help from teachers I have been able to do well. At RISS, teachers will take time to explain things to you to make sure you understand the information.
