Student Leadership Team

This past week, RISS held their Student Leadership Team elections. The Student Leadership Team (StuLT) is a group of students whose main goal is to help foster a sense of community and belonging among RISS students, and provide a structured approach to addressing student needs and concerns through leadership. 

By having a StuLT, students can have a voice in RISS decision-making and can provide feedback on various initiatives and events. This can lead to a more student-centred approach to school management.
Our StuLT candidates presented their ideas and approaches via video, and on Thursday all our students and teachers were able to vote for the representatives of their choice. The democratic process requires input and dedication for both the voter and the candidates.

Congratulations to all the student candidates who were willing to be part of the process: it takes courage to step up and be willing to take on responsibility.
