The RISS is currently in an exciting transition process and taking on the challenge of creating more opportunities for our students. Some of the aspects we will be introducing this year are:

  • A new pastoral programme to ensure that student’s needs for their wellbeing are addressed.

  • Piloting Integrated humanities units (instead of Geography and History as separate subjects) to create a holistic provision for students.

  • Widening the selection of foreign languages as expected from an International School, by adding German and Chinese.

  • By adding the two languages mentioned above, we create the opportunity for more of our students to continue with their own heritage language.

Transition into the RISS from primary school

We have a new approach to transition between our feeder school to ensure a smooth process for our Grade 6 students joining the RISS. Contact and visits with our feeder school takes place on a regular basis to ensure that we establish a continuum in our programme play an integral role in supporting the students during the first year in our school.

Our students are entitled to be happy and fulfilled. With all the aims and opportunities above, we strive for all of them to enjoy their youth, enjoy their learning journey and challenge themselves.
